Description We are in the process of recruiting a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Western Nassau County, New York. The individual will have the opportunity to work within the healthcare industry, focusing on maintaining and analyzing financial statements, handling journal entries, and dealing with external auditors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those with a background in accounting and a proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics.

Responsibilities: • Preparation of journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations for month-end close related to assigned facilities. • Ensuring compliance with GAAP. • Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. • In-depth variance analysis for revenue and operating expenses. • Preparation of operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas. • Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis for P& L and balance sheet. • Coordination with external auditors on all audits (regulatory and other) related to assigned facilities. • Intercompany reconciliation. • Assistance with related special projects as required. • Performance of other duties as assigned by manager. Requirements • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant.

• Proficiency in General Ledger management is essential.

• Competency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis is required.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is a must.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics software will be advantageous.

• Applicants should have a solid understanding of the Accounting close process.

• Experience in Financial Reporting is necessary for this role.
