Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Rockville, Maryland

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Rockville, Maryland. This role is primarily focused on providing support to our team by managing the general administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be handling a variety of duties including managing inbound calls, coordinating events, and ensuring the smooth running of the office.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team member.

• Facilitate internal and external communications, including mailings and interoffice packages.

• Coordinate the ordering of office and site supplies to ensure the workplace is well-equipped.

• Provide a warm welcome to visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.

• Assist in the planning and organization of internal and external events.

• Act as the first point of contact for office-related issues, escalating IT problems to the relevant department.

• Support account managers with order processing and related administrative tasks.

• Ensure the accurate and efficient handling of data entry tasks.

• Schedule appointments and manage calendars using Microsoft Outlook.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create and edit documents as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Excellent customer service skills and experience

• Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally

• Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for email correspondence

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to schedule appointments efficiently

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Detail-oriented and able to produce high-quality work

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

• Previous experience in an administrative role would be advantageous.
