ICF International Research International Research Project Coordinator in Rockville, Maryland
Description
ICF seeks a Project Coordinator to support international labor and migration research and publications support activities. The majority of the research activities are funded by U.S. Government clients and take place in developing countries. This is a full-time, hybrid position in Rockville, Maryland.
The Team
The International Labor and Migration team at ICF helps clients identify, document, measure, and address human rights violations and labor exploitation through mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative research, and data collection across countries and industries.
The Work
The Project Coordinator will be part of the ICF team that provides research, publication, policy, and administrative support to Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT) at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Bureau of International Labor Affairs. With over 25 years of experience, OCFT is a world leader in the fight to eradicate child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking. OCFT combats these egregious labor abuses using a two-part approach: i) providing cutting-edge research on child labor and forced labor in more than 150 countries around the world, and ii) working collaboratively with nearly 100 governments and 80 organizations to strengthen laws, enforcement, policies, and social programs to end child labor and forced labor.
Key Responsibilities
Support research and project managers in their project management responsibilities including:
Track and ensure project progress against work plan schedules
Support timely submission of quality project deliverables to the client
Create and support the development of and adherence to research protocols and processes
Maintain safety and security plans
Liaise and communicate with staff across various studies: ICF technical, administrative, financial and procurement staff, field staff, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives
Track consultants’ and subcontractors’ invoices and process them
Under research and project managers’ guidance, draft statement of works for consultants and subcontractors’ agreements
Provide administrative and logistical support for external and internal meetings, webinars, and other presentations including taking and archiving minutes
Support knowledge management efforts by maintaining electronic folders and archives of all project documents, notes, and reports
Arrange travel logistics, including visas, and client approvals, if needed
Arrange logistics for domestic and international meetings
Provide administrative, programmatic, and technical support, as needed, for example, contributing to progress reports to clients, work plans, and quality control plans; conducting literature reviews; and preparing report tables for conducting research
Use MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote)
Communicate verbally and in writing with advanced professional proficiency English communication skills
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, international relations, international affairs, international development, or business administration or related area
2+ years experience providing operations support to projects
1+ years’ experience working on research projects in lower- and middle-income countries
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using project management tools, including Project for the Web, Asana, SharePoint, Power BI, WorkZone, Trello, WorkBook
Experience work planning and project monitoring and evaluation
Experience working on US Government-funded projects or other international development projects
French language proficiency

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$59,837.00 - $101,722.00
