About the position
The Project Sourcing Manager leads supply chain initiatives, overseeing the implementation of supplier changes for material, process, and product manufacturing to ensure continuity for ongoing project specific work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to RFQ, price and contract negotiation, supplier identification, supplier development, quote analysis, project planning, resource assessment, risk mitigation, defining project scope, and managing budgets.

In this diverse role, you will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Work with current and identify new suppliers that meet project or program needs
Manage RFQ package development, delivery, and overall process with suppliers for various projects
Complete quote analysis and recommend best supplier for project needs
Negotiate best prices available with suppliers
Supplier development
Drive multiple projects driving cost, quality, and timing requirements to optimize supply chain business operations.
Engage with cross-functional teams (finance, R&D, manufacturing, quality) to lead project execution.
Develop project timelines, milestones and action items for supply chain projects.
Manages and monitors project or program schedules, progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget
Serve as a thought-leader for project ideation through being a strong cross-functional partner and understanding business project opportunities that can be lead by the Supply Chain function
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree; Supply Chain, Logistics, Project Management, Business Management, or other relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing and/or Category Management and Supplier Management experience.
Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete tasks to best meet organization’s needs
RFQ and negotiation experience preferred
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Knowledge about Lean Six Sigma process preferred; PMP Certification preferred.
Knowledge of timeline management, project financials, and risk management principals.
Growth mindset (naturally curious & strong learning agility).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Localization:
Up to 20% of travel may be required.
Employees must have driver’s license
This role can be 100% remote but will be expected to have regular presence at one of Carrier offices, the cadence of which you will align with your manager on
