Friday - Sunday 5am-5pm HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE REASONS YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE Generous Time Off Superior benefits Annual merit 401(k) match Tuition Reimbursement The Engineering Tech is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by providing technical and mechanical assistance, troubleshooting mechanical and network issues, maintaining machine efficiency, supporting 5S initiatives, and training technical skills to employees as needs arise. Responsibilities Provide daily technical & mechanical assistance to all manufacturing operations Assist Machine Operators with technical troubleshooting Troubleshoot database systems, files, GT's, Axodes, Multifeeders, Pick & Places, Glue systems and other machines as needed. Recommend software updates as necessary. Repair, maintain, and increase the efficiency of In Line Verification Systems Train Machine Operators as required on troubleshooting techniques, technical skills and machine operation Implement solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and performance for all manufacturing machines by Identifying mechanical and operational inefficiencies Streamline set-up procedures for all manufacturing related machines by creating plans to increase efficiency of set-up processes Assist with new process installation and optimization of new machines and products. Develop process improvement initiatives from hands on day to day interaction with the crews and machinery. Learn new technology as it becomes available Work directly with Supervision to meet the daily production goals of the department, focusing on uptime and hotspots of the day. Work on the project lists updated and prioritized by the Supervisors. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program for equipment. Support 5S through keeping machines in like new state, re-route wiring for cleanliness and efficient operation. Inventory control of parts, and machine peripherals. Assist in ordering new equipment and replacement parts. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. Qualifications 2-year technical degree with emphasis on electronics 4 years manufacturing experience Experience with In-Line Verification Systems Knowledge of Sensors, PC's, PLC's, conveyors High level of mechanical aptitude Demonstrate ability to develop technical documents Ability to systematically troubleshoot and problem solve complex and integrated processes Ability to train others Ability and willingness to be on call Proficient in Microsoft Office and Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary Physical Demands - (e.g. sitting, standing, lifting, traveling, eyestrain etc.) Work is conducted in a variety of positions, some awkward and close in nature, and requires standing, walking, climbing, crawling, bending, stooping and lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Environment is noisy and may require ear protection Work involves good hearing, hand/eye coordination and normal color vision to be able to detect problems, to ensure quality product and to maintain safety Work involves full use of hands/fingers in order to use precision or semi-precision equipment, tools or instruments requiring deft hand movements Work involves dealing with fine detail, which can be tiring both mentally and physically Works with rapidly moving machinery that may require quick adjustments to minimize waste and time Company Overview: CPI Card Group is a payment technology company and leading provider of credit, debit and prepaid solutions delivered physically, digitally and on-demand.
