Position Summary

This position will learn and master our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System, achieve certification in the process, and to educate others to achieve the site’s goals of transformation. You will partner with functional leaders to drive continuous improvements in day-to-day business processes through PPI Leadership, to include aligning and coaching problem-solving at all levels. You will need to leverage your project management expertise and knowledge of the (PPI) Business System to support and join or lead projects or strategic initiatives. A good amount of 'shop floor' presence will be beneficial, in order to understand and prioritise any issues and their resolution.

Some of the methodologies we utilise are: conducting Gemba Walks to identify process improvement opportunities, Kaizens, Daily Tiered Management, process and product 3P, value stream mapping, error-proofing, Kanban, material flow, and 8-step problem-solving. Resources, training and walk-throughs are available, as is an internal network of peers to the role.

What will you do?

As a member of the site leadership team, you will:

  • Promote a work culture that embraces continuous improvement and leverages the talent of the organization to execute the strategy and achieve its business and financial objectives

  • Ensure savings targets are met through good governance of continuous improvement

  • Educate employees in continuous improvement tools and thinking to improve the manufacturing experience, become more efficient, and ensure sustainable processes and controls

  • Train associates in PPI tools and concepts (guides are available)

  • Regularly seek feedback from the manufacturing staff to directly meet and understand their needs

  • Work with other LPE PPI managers to standardise and improve the PPI Business System across the division.

How will you get here?

  • 2+ years’ in a supervisory level position

  • Experience driving continuous improvement within a LEAN programme

  • BS/BA or a Business degree, technical degree or commercial degree

  • Performance related experience from a production environment (Automotive, Aerospace, Food, Drug or Medical devices advantageous areas)

  • Proficient computer skills with good knowledge of Ms Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Experience driving, presenting and reporting on the value stream and key metrics

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on coaching and influencing others

  • A belief in the viability of continuous improvement and the ability to communicate and demonstrate this to others in a way that creates excitement and activates transformation!

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Danish and English

  • Ability to travel ≤ 10% on an annual basis.
