Xylem Workshop Manager in Rustenburg, South Africa

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations and activities of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining quality standards.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to:
Staff Management: Ensure all staff activities align with company policies and comply with legal requirements.
Work Planning & Execution: Efficiently organize and prioritize tasks to optimize productivity.
Expense Tracking: Monitor, manage, and justify any out-of-scope expenses or overtime costs.
Feedback & Communication: Provide timely and accurate responses to internal teams, staff members, and customers.
Training: Identify staff training needs and coordinate appropriate programs. Facilitate in-house training for temporary staff and customer employees as necessary.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance processes, procedures, workflows and team morale to improve overall efficiency.
Workshop Maintenance & Safety: Ensure the workshop is organized, environmentally safe, and that all equipment meets required standards.
Safety & Quality Compliance: Promote and ensure adherence to Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
Failure & Root Cause Analysis: Prepare reports on failure investigations and root cause analyses.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required to support company operations.
Requirements
Completed Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant Technical Qualifications in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
A minimum of 8 years' experience overseeing a multidisciplinary workshop, focusing on repairs and external customer billing, with at least 5 years of experience in the pump industry.
Minimum 5 years management or leadership experience overseeing workshop teams.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, SAP or Iscala.
Possession of a valid passport and driver's license (Code 08 or higher), with the flexibility to travel as required.
Ability to work overtime as and when required.
