Controller / Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee financial activities of the company
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas of the business by partnering with management to provide key financial data, analysis, and insights
  • Performance of major initiatives as assigned

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages financial staff and is responsible for general accounting, AR, AP, billing, cost accounting, inventory accuracy and risk management 
  • Directs the preparation and quality control of all financial reports, including reports to shareholders, banks, external accounting firm, and government regulatory agencies 
  • Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer insight and direction 
  • Provide internal controls 
  • Responsible for annual business planning and forecasting and analyzes actual versus planned results to identify opportunities and areas which need focus  
  • Continuously improves the planning process 
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk 
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards 
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management 
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit 
  • Files quarterly and annual reports 
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements 
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Required Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting and/or financial experience

     

Salary and Benefits:

 

  • We offer salary commensurate with experience, starting at $75,000 annually
