Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Saint Charles, Missouri

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will apply best practices and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, diagnostics, and repair of equipment, machinery, buildings, and utilities. Your primary responsibility will be Machinery Preventative Maintenance (PM), as machine operators do not perform any PMs. You will assist the Maintenance Lead with troubleshooting, hydraulic repairs, and you will also work on hydraulic equipment, servo-driven machines, and some PLCs and electrical tasks. Maintenance Technicians or the Maintenance Lead will instruct you on any facilities or HVAC maintenance. You will handle most routine tasks, enabling leadership personnel to focus on projects and troubleshooting. The role involves an 80/20 split between manufacturing maintenance and facilities maintenance, which includes plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Work Environment

You will be part of a team of 4 maintenance personnel, with 3 at one location and 1 at another. With 2 members retiring in the next 6 months, including a lead, you will be directed by lead and experienced personnel on a day-to-day basis. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential for slight flexibility in schedule, although initial training will ideally be during these hours. Interaction with floor personnel and supervisors is frequent, and while the team dynamic can be robust, unprofessional behavior is not tolerated.
