College of St Benedict Visiting Assistant Professor- History in Saint Joseph, Minnesota

The History Department at the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) and Saint John s University (SJU) invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit eligible, one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor in 20th-century United States history, with the possibility of renewal. Candidates must be able to teach a lower-division class engaging with gender, race, and ethnicity in U.S. history. The successful candidate will also teach upper-division courses in their area of expertise and other general education courses. Interest in developing excellence in undergraduate teaching, including student-centered inclusive pedagogy, required. PhD required by August 2025. Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities include introductory courses in US history, upper-division courses in the candidate s area of expertise and interest, and courses in the general-education curriculum. The candidate will be responsible for teaching three 4-credit courses per semester plus student advising.
