We have a new opportunity for a full-time Senior Financial Reporting Analyst within the Finance Office of the St. Louis Archdiocese, which resides at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. This role reports to the Finance Manager and assists with the execution and oversight of banking, investment, and other financial activities of the St. Louis Archdiocese Fund (SLAF) including loans.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the detailed accounting and reconciliation of investment transactions.

• Research and resolve discrepancies in general ledger account activity and analysis.

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.

• Coordinate with the Finance Office Accountant to present accurate balances in the general ledger.

• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses, and prepares balance sheet, statement of activities, and other reports to summarize and interpret current financial position.

• Assist with the analysis of all new loan applications, including the development of cash forecasts for applicants.

• Establish and maintain loan files and loan records in the banking system and the network.

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of the loans portfolio for the Annual Loan Review.

• Monitor changes in financial data, unfunded commitments, and advances during the construction period after loan approval. Confirm subsequent financial data on site at parish and agency as required.

• Prepare work papers for internal and external audits as well as assist with the preparation of the audited financial statements.

• Attend and compile minutes from SLAF board meetings.

• Provide customer service to depositors and borrowers of SLAF.

• Compile and report financial data as requested by the Finance Manager and other management.

• Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years progressive experience and/or training, financial industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• CPA or MBA in Finance or related field preferred.

• Experience in banking or loans, specifically with Jack Henry software a plus.

• At a minimum, 1 to 2 years of experience in a senior accountant role that assisted with the preparation of audit schedules.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products with an intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel formulas.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Possess a moderate to expert level of experience with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, and other advanced Excel formulas and/or functions

• Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of personalities (i.e., strong customer service). The audience ranges from clerical to agency directors and management and board members. Schedules and conducts regular meetings with other accountants and business managers as needed.

• Ability to manage competing priorities workload in an efficient manner.

• Supportive of the Catholic Church and its teachings.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
