YWCA of St Paul Director of Health & Wellness in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Director of Health & Wellness YWCA St Paul is looking for a Director of Health & Wellness. The Director of Health & Wellness is responsible for setting YWCA St. Paul s health and wellness strategy, designing, implementing, and evaluating health and wellness programs and initiatives, growing, and retaining the membership base, cultivating strategic community partnerships, and identifying additional pathways for revenue generation to sustain the Health & Fitness Center social enterprise operation. With the support of the CEO, and in partnership with other key leaders, the incumbent will play an integral role in helping the organization achieve its health equity goals by co-leading initiatives intended to improve employee, member, program participant and community health outcomes with a particular emphasis on improving the health outcomes of BIPOC women, youth, and families. Program Strategy & Innovation Develop, implement, and oversee all Health and Wellness Programs that reflect members and the community s needs and maintain the organization s high standards of quality, safety, and impact. Design a comprehensive, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate framework for health and wellness to guide and inform programming for youth, adults, seniors, and other special populations. Identify strategic priorities, set goals, and key performance indicators, collect participant data, monitor fidelity, and regularly assess for participant satisfaction and impact. Produce monthly and annual reports to consistently track key activities, growth, and progress. Create and manage program budgets, collaborate with the Advancement Team to secure public and private grant funds, and support in growing and retaining YWCA St. Paul s donor base. Cultivate and enhance key partnerships with community organizations that are mission-aligned. Stay abreast of patterns and trends in the health and fitness industry, best practices, market data, and other key information to inform and improve operations. Create opportunities for additional revenue generation via health and wellness-focused events, fundraisers, membership drives, and the sale of merchandise, equipment, and concessions. Develop promotional materials, social media content, and campaigns to increase awareness of programs, enhance visibility and strengthen brand identity in the community. Oversee all Element operations and activities taking place at the YWCA St. Paul facility. Employee Health & Wellness Create, organize, lead, implement, monitor, and manage YWCA St. Paul s employee health and wellness program to meet the needs of the staff and fulfill the organization s health equity objectives. Develop strategies to motivate staff to achieve their health goals, promote health education and disease prevention strategies, and connect employees with critical health and wellness resources. Collaborate with Human Resources Director to have health insurance providers optimize benefits and coverage for employees and integrate wellness activities into the overall employee experience. Monitor, track and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the participation in the employee wellness program. Create and manage employee wellness program budget. Develop promotional materials and campaigns for the employee wellness programs. Conduct regular wellness surveys and assessments to evaluate the impact of the wellness program. Regulatory Compliance Create, revise and enforce policies to ensure safety, compliance and equity in the implementation of all YWCA St. Paul s health and wellness programs. In collaboration with HFC General Manager and Senior Facilities Operations Manager, ensure timely completion of all inspections including pool for re-certification, safety, Health and Fitness Center Quality Standards and Guidelines, as well as condition inspections and re-inspections when necessary. Partner with HFC General Manager to meet with inspectors as needed. In collaboration with HFC General Man ger, ensure that YWCA St. Paul Health and Fitness Center is compliant with all applicable regulations, including government, funders, and grantor requirements. Administrative Participate as an active member of the leadership team and support organization-wide activities, community engagement efforts and special projects. Attend and engage in HFC team meetings, YWCA St. Paul all-staff meetings and retreats, Senior Leadership Team meetings and retreats, Board of Director meetings and retreats, HR monthly professional training as required, and other professional training as appropriate. Meaningfully participate in and lead efforts to support the YWCA St. Paul s commitment to eliminating racial justice, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice and freedom and dignity for all. Collaborate with Finance team on tracking and recording all revenues and expenses using the Health and Fitness Center (HFC) software. Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, HFC General Manager, and when needed, Facilities Operations Manager on work orders for all deficiencies identified during inspection. YWCA Agency Represent YWCA St Paul in the community, including actively attending networking events. Develop strategies to promote and maximize visibility for YWCA St Paul events. Promote the YWCA St Paul mission, guiding principles, equity statement, and agency communications. Align with YWCA St Paul s mission and bring a new level of creativity and innovation to the organization. Collaborate with YWCA St Paul staff to align communication and marketing strategies with organizational goals, keeping apprised of sister organizations and YWCA USA communications and trends, collaborating on communications and marketing initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervision: 1-2 FTE (TBD)? Work Environment: This job operates in an exercise area that includes workout machines, weights, treadmills, and other fitness products. The Director will have an office space that includes a desk, chair, computer, and basic office supplies. The Director will have access to other computers and office equipment in the building. The noise level is usually moderate. Ability to be flexible to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands: Ability to conduct exercise and fitness classes, demonstrate proper exercises, and perform activities relating to fitness. Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position - sit, climb, or balance, walk, stand, bend, reach, lift; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position is a full-time exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), working most of the time in the office in St Paul, Minnesota, with remote work being a consideration. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM with limited weekend and evening hours as needed. YWCA St. Paul offers a competitive benefits package, and compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications. The salary range is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
