Insight Global INT - Senior R&D Engineer in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer for a medical device client with a location in Costa Rica. We are looking for a seasoned engineer who can quickly adapt to our team and contribute to our mission of advancing sterilization technology. Join our dynamic R&D team focused on innovative sterilization processes for metals and polymers in packaging components. You will be part of a 3-engineer team, working closely with 2 other functions on a specific project, and collaborate on distribution and packaging project work. This candidate needs 7 years of post-graduate experience in R&D, with a strong portfolio showcasing familiarity with engineering drawings and electronics. As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for leading sterilization process improvements, conducting tests, and contributing to packaging design. You will prioritize projects, maintain their status, and network with design assurance teams. Remote work will involve participation in brief update meetings. The pay range for this role is around $28-34.00 an hour.

Skills and Requirements

· Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Materials Engineering.

· Expertise in polymers

· Proficiency in Minitab

· experience in R&D, with a strong portfolio showcasing familiarity with engineering drawings and electronics.

· Technical writing skills are crucial for report generation.

B2 level of English proficiency or higher. Experience with SolidWorks and medical devices null
