We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the reconciliation of a backlog of transactions in QuickBooks Online. You will help our non-profit client determine proper treatment for unreconciled items, ensure correct postings in the financial systems, and prepare the organization for quarterly reporting. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in transactions, payments, and postings in various financial systems such as QuickBooks, PayPal, and Intuit.

• Investigate and address any issues related to deleted refund transactions, ensuring all financial data is accurate.

• Collaborate with the team to clean up financial records in preparation for quarterly reporting.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, and QuickBooks Online to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Ensure all financial systems are in sync and communicating with each other effectively.

• Manage and organize a large volume of financial data, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible.

• Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure all financial procedures are followed correctly.

• Continually monitor and review financial records, identifying and addressing any potential issues promptly.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or a similar position

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Online

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger operations

• Ability to perform tasks such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

• High level of integrity, autonomous thinking, and a strong professional work ethic

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently with efficiency and accuracy.
