GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Applies a wide range of engineering principles and methods in carrying out complex assignments, acts as project or program manager for engineering projects, and has responsibility for the completion of administrative functions; works flexible hours including evenings as required. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a closely related engineering degree; AND 2. Four years of experience applying engineering theory, principles and methods, including two years in the specific specialty field for recruitment (i.e. design, land use, traffic, environmental); OR 3. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County. Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT). The requirement for the EIT (FE) may be waived if the applicant possesses a master\'s (or higher) degree that is highly pertinent to the specific position or possesses a unique combination of work experience and skills that are especially pertinent to the needs of the position.
