The Senior Accountant handles a wide range of tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proven knowledge of Monthly Close
Practical knowledge of Journal Entry
General familiarity with journal entries
Earlier work involving general ledger
Wide ranging experience with Fixed Asset Inventory
Proficiency in bookkeeping
Full charge bookkeeping experience preferred
US GAAP experience
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Close Processes
GAAP Accounting experience preferred
Bookkeeping Functions experience
Quality experience with Fixed Asset Accounting
Ability to meet deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Skilled with ERP systems
