Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Multiple Positions Available. Software engineering role responsible for partnering with various stakeholders on developing, enhancing, and maintaining the applications, systems, and workflows that support the Firm's business and clients. Implement services leveraging a micro-service-based architecture using Java or Springboot components to be deployed both on premises and cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Gather requirements, analyze, and design various components of next generation micro-service-based architecture using REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Perform data modeling and write complex queries to develop data driven applications and generate reports. Work on user interfaces using Javascript, HTML, or CSS. Work on server-side User Interface (UI) technologies such as Java Server Pages (JSP). Model and develop persistence and data access services utilizing relational database management systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases. Mentor junior developers through design and code reviews.
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with Master's degree) or three (3) years (with Bachelor's degree) with: working across the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, quality assurance (QA) testing, and production release; performing data modeling and writing complex queries to develop data driven applications and generate reports; designing and developing distributed and scalable systems; working with an object oriented language; working with relational database management systems (RDBMS); and working with Structured Query Language (SQL) and extract, transform, load (ETL) tools.
