SummaryResponsible for Calibration Testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of components, analytical equipment and Electrical instrumentation for laboratory and manufacturing equipment in a Regulated Production Environment, in a timely manner. Schedules delivery and Receipt of Highly controlled (chain of custody protocols) External Calibration Standards.

Analyzes and interprets results and assists development of test specifications or electrical schematics. Maintains and archives all logs and required documentation per good manufacturing practices. Provides support to the Maintenance Equipment, repairs, and process Engineering organizations. Prepare technical reports with recommendations to management with solutions to technical problems and continuous improvement. Job Description SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS Required Certifications and Training * Proven experience in metrology, calibration, or instrumentation * Proficiency in using calibration software and measurement tools * Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility or as required. * PML (Physical Measurement Laboratory) training. * ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) Experience Level with Business Tools * Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience with Met/Team and Met/Cal is preferred.

LEVEL DESCRIPTION Skill * Basic Electrical Theory and calculation of formulas * Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. * Knowledge on proper safety procedures and techniques associated with High and Low Voltage electrical systems (Arc Flashing and Hazard approach) * Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. * Knowledge on Blueprints, repair manuals, and schematics * Previous experience in calibration, physical-dimensional or electronic is preferred. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Procedure writing with Met/Cal * Familiar with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 Job Complexity * Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. * Coordinates and performs inhouse on-site calibration on equipment on the production floor. Supervision * Normally receives little instruction on day to- day work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments Typical Education and Experience * Education equivalent to a High School diploma with a minimum of three years of calibration or industry related experience, such as QA or Maintenance Technician; or associate's degree in a technical field with two years of calibration experience * Military experience in a technical field is accepted.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Environment and Physical Demands * Medium work that will occasionally require employee to lift/move up to 20lbs. and occasionally lift more than 25lbs. to greater than 50lbs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally. Reaching above or below the shoulder occasionally.
