University of Utah Development Director - Pioneer Theatre C in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) and University Advancement seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic development professional to advance the theatre in reaching and maximizing its contributed revenue to support its artistic mission. The Director of Development is a key executive role reporting jointly through the Managing Director and Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) or designee, working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board. The Director of Development is pivotal in establishing and deepening relationships with institutional and individual donors at all levels, engaging in cultivation and stewardship, and providing guidance and support to the development team for grants and sponsorships as well as special events.Salary $80,000 $102,000 Salary commensurate with experience. About Pioneer Theatre CompanyPTC is Utahs premier professional theatre company, operating under a LORT B agreement with the Actors Equity Association and contracting with other creative unions as well. In residence at The University of Utah since its origin in 1962, PTC produces a season of seven plays and musicals in the 932-seat Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre and the new 287-seat Meldrum Theatre, which opened in May 2024.In recent years PTC has added a concert musical and a new play development series to its regular September to May production calendar.Under the leadership of Artistic Director Karen Azenberg and Interim Managing Director Diane L. Parisi, the theatre operates with a current annual budget of $5 million. The theatre maintains a full-time and seasonal full-time staff of 34 and employs between 130 and 150 theatre professionals, backstage crew, and front-of-house staff each season.Pioneer Theatre Company and University Advancement are deeply committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of excellence.
