Description

Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the role of a Power Systems Shop Technician. In their Salt Lake City, UT location. Full-time benefited position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safety first, must have a good safety record. “Safety” will be this role’s top priority with a commitment to use the TRACK Safety Program

  • Diesel and gas engine experience

  • Ability to read electrical schematics

  • Strong work ethic with safety, quality, and customer relations being a priority

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Self-starter with lots of ambition

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and accomplish work with minimum supervision

  • Must complete required paperwork on a daily basis and have good computer skills

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Coordinate and control parts orders, warranty information, service reports, and documentation required to complete repair

  • Willing to promote a teamwork attitude working closely with all departments and supervisors

  • Ability to work hard in high pressure situations while maintaining a professional attitude

  • Willing to attend various training classes to expand your knowledge

  • Must be willing to work overtime as the need requires

  • Clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Multiquip generators, Atlas Copco compressors, Mid-sized truck repair.

  • Two year’s diesel technology training

  • Basic knowledge of power generation
