Job Summary: The Pre Delivery Inspection technician at Salt Lake Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is responsible for conducting thorough and efficient inspections of all new vehicle deliveries to ensure they are in top working condition before being released to customers. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the high quality standards of our dealership and ensuring customer satisfaction with their new vehicle purchases. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive pay rate based on experience. Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-delivery inspections on all new vehicles according to manufacturer and dealership standards - Complete a detailed checklist of all vehicle components and systems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, and exterior/interior features - Identify and document any issues or defects found during inspection and communicate with appropriate team members for repairs or adjustments - Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, rotating tires, and topping off fluids as needed - Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues - Keep detailed records of all inspections and repairs completed on each vehicle - Communicate effectively with sales team, service technicians, and management to ensure timely delivery of vehicles to customers - Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred) - 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership setting - Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems - Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment - Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test EEOC Statement: Salt Lake Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
