We are looking for a junior system administrator to add to our team to support a World-Class operation by global industry leader, in a unique opportunity to support the entire copper mining process from start to finish. This role is a desktop support role actioning IT related requests initiated by end users at the Rio Tinto Kennecott operation. It will be the responsibility of the role to provide troubleshooting assistance for end users, to be "local helpers/boots on the ground" for remote support agents, and to properly and efficiently delegate tasks to the appropriate specialist resolver groups. This role is a great opportunity for a technically driven enthusiast who is interested in getting their hands on unique systems and serve a varied customer base. Reporting to the Production Site Support Superintendent you will be: * Providing on-site, in person IT support services to customers* * Facilitating users needs by effectively communicating and helping them navigate the world of information technology. * Acting as the local point of contact for remote specialist resolver groups and ISandT partners to ensure customer expectations and/or site requirements are fulfilled * Contributing to the ISandT customer service reputation by maintaining a high level of customer - focused service through consistent delivery of professional, courteous, and timely support * Managing and aligning customer expectations against service level agreements and priorities to ensure all incidents and requests are completed in a positive way. * Attaining a good understanding of the operational activities and infrastructure to ensure business impacts are minimized by outages/incidents * Creating, maintaining, and documenting effective solutions in tickets as well as knowledge base articles * Providing on-site technical leadership to less experienced resources to ensure service standards are maintained * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of programs, tools, and technologies required to effectively troubleshoot new issues as they arise. What you will bring: To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: * Good relationship and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of general IT troubleshooting and remedial activities * Familiarization of ITIL and IT organization * Strong communication skills and be able to articulate clearly and effectively whether in person, over the phone, through chat, and via email. * Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure business demands/requirements are managed correctly, and be able to modify and adapt plans as situations arise. It will also be beneficial if you have: * Familiarization with networking infrastructure and nomenclature * Familiarization with servers and hosting solutions * Previous experience working in industrial environments * Previous experience in service/help desk or desktop support * Working knowledge with developing and implementing new technology solutions * Understanding of Microsoft's product portfolio (M365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, etc...) * Working knowledge of telephony solutions (both mobile solutions as well as VoiP) What we offer We are committed to providing our employees witha generous benefits package.
