Job Summary
This key role will assist the sales team at PBS Utah and back up KUER and KUUB in managing all asset fulfillment processes, including asset management, data entry, basic accounting, and more, to ensure excellent and robust customer service. This role will involve interaction via email and phone calls with external clients and internal stakeholders, and I must be able to communicate effectively in writing and in personal interactions. Must be detail and deadline-oriented, with a mindset of completing daily, weekly and monthly tasks efficiently and with follow-through communication.
The ideal candidate will enjoy learning complex systems and finding solutions and ways to improve processes.
Responsibilities
Experience with basic accounting, including invoicing, tracking payments, accounts receivable, etc.
Update revenue projection sheets, run net sales, etc.
Manage client payments applied in multiple systems
Data entry into a station “traffic” system, Protrak. This includes entering contracts into multiple “stations” and digital platforms, building flights, tracking and managing library assets, reconciling spots and makegoods monthly, and more.
Schedule and manage digital assets, including spots in AIMS , Local on National, and website.
Secondary Data Entry into the secondary platform to track invoices, payments, and Accounts receivable.
Generate monthly Accounts Receivable.
Will communicate with clients and agencies to coordinate sending monthly invoices, past due statements, and payments.
Assist with gathering production assets for broadcast and digital platforms. Manage communication and coordination between the sales team, production team, and traffic to ensure timely production and scheduling of the correct assets on the correct platforms.
Communicate with traffic department to assist with weekly log generation and any spot issues.
Run or request monthly reports and affidavits from all platforms (Protrack, AIMS KIDS 24/7 stream, LoN, etc). Reports can be used for internal purposes or provided to clients as proof of campaign.
Update sponsors monthly in the Seven Guide, PBS Utah monthly publication.
Audit and update sponsors on show-specific web pages.
Run net sales report – monthly accounting work.
May assist with deposits and credit card payments.
Cross-train with radio sales coordinators to back-fill and assist as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus two years full-time clerical accounting experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. The ability to understand, interpret, and apply University and departmental regulations; demonstrated spreadsheet skills; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience using software programs such as PeopleSoft or Kronos may be required for certain positions.

- Working knowledge of public media, experience in accounting and broadcast traffic databases and robust knowledge and use of Excel.
