Overview

We are looking for an Aide IPCC to join our team. This position will directly report to the Executive Director RN IPCC and function under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Aide will be responsible for providing personal care and services to the terminally ill to augment the care given by family members in the inpatient unit facility.

  • Make rounds on all patients at the beginning of your shift and then periodically during each shift

  • Help the patient to maintain good personal hygiene

  • Prepare and serve light meals

  • Demonstrate basic care to the primary caregiver

  • Report any change in the patient's mental or physical condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team

About You

  • Hospice heart: compassionate, kind, and empathetic to your patients and their families.

  • Comfortable providing care wherever the patient calls "home".

  • Demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting others in a time of crisis.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.

  • Six (6) months of patient care experience in critical care or acute care (such as ICU, IPU, ER or emergency room) strongly preferred.

  • Additional, preferred experience to help you be successful: hospice, home health, oncology, hospital Staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool, cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry, nursing home or travel.

  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance.

  • Current CPR certification
