Our client a Financial Institution is hiring a Loan Operations Specialist I - Quality Control for an immediate start.

The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan processing and documentation and maintaining the quality of loan operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct reviews of loan applications, documents, and data for adherence to regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with the loan processing team to address discrepancies and provide quality control guidance.

• Perform audits of loan documentation for completeness and compliance.

• Investigate, resolve, process imaging and exception clearing for loan-related issues.

• Compile comprehensive reports on quality control findings with recommended actions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance loan processing procedures.

• Assist in training loan operations team members on quality control procedures.

• Review commercial/consumer loans for completeness and accuracy.

• Approve commercial/consumer loans for funding.

• Enter collateral properties into the tax monitoring system.

• Process payments, assist with payment research, and respond to email requests from branches.

• Prepare adverse action notices on declined loan applications.

• Review credit activity report and reconcile to approved, declined, withdrawn or in process loans.

• Process paid loans and release collateral.

• Research subpoenas and loan errors.

• Assist customers through calls.

• Carry out other functions and special projects when required.

• Activate force place hazard insurance for mortgage loans and monitor flood coverage per regulations.

• Verify coming due and past due notices for mailings.

• Assist with credit/collateral tracking and loan document imaging.

• Help with daily reconciliation processes, loan maintenance, and review of the core system for loan booking accuracy.

• Assist with the resolution of credit disputes.

• Correspond with participant banks and report payment splits.

• Assist in BaaS projects and facilitate payments.

• Carry out responsibilities consistent with the company values and operating principles.

Skills Required:

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

• Working knowledge of commercial real estate, C& I, and consumer TRID lending practices.

• Proficiency in MS Office Products and MS Excel.

• Strong mathematical skills.

Experience:

• Previous experience in loan operations, loan processing, quality control, or a related financial services role.

• Familiarity with PPdocs, LaserPro, and Sageworks Technology Solutions.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Loan Servicer/Administrator role or similar position in the Financial Services industry.

• Proficiency in Data Processing and Computer Data Entry.

• Familiarity with Closing Processes in loan administration.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Compliance requirements in the Financial Services industry.

• Ability to assess Credit risk and make informed decisions.

• Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients.

• Experience in handling both Consumer and Commercial Loans.

• Proficiency in Image Processing and Scanning Documents.

• Detailed understanding of Loan Administration processes and standards.

• Experience with LaserPro or similar loan servicing software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in creating and using Excel Formulas.

• Ability to work in a team, as well as independently, and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
