Scripps Health LVN Supervisor, Clinic Operations - Rancho Bernardo Internal Medicine in San Diego, California
This is an exempt, benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary based on department needs. Located in Rancho Bernardo. Participates in the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Supervisor level.

*What you'll do: *
- Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
- Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
- Ensures the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
- Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff (LVNs and MAs), including managing daily staffing plans.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
- Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
- Management and development of clinical staff.
- Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
- Participates in budget planning and management.
- Takes proactive initiative in quality management.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- At least two of years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Maintains current California LVN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience addressing performance concerns with employees.
- Experience scheduling staff/managing staff schedules.
