Tactical Engineering & Analysis, INC Program Analyst in San Diego, California

Overview

We are seeking a Program Analyst to support the assigned client organization and will be responsible for providing defense acquisition expertise and acquisition leadership support to functional teams and Government clients. This includes involvement with various administrative tasking to draft, edit, track and manage contractor to Government correspondence and deliverables. As a TEA Program Analyst for assigned organization, this role will require expertise in contributing to functional team(s), oversight and responsibility of control processes, and continuous efforts to identify, create, and implement processes that optimize program results.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Provide administrative support for tasking and/or contracts administered by assigned organization. To includedetermining program requirements, identifying system trends and opportunities for improvement, and advise onpotential issues related to costs, schedules, and performance.
  • Conduct research, analyze data or vendor documentation. And advise program manager(s) or Government clients with regard to planning, testing, and evaluated effectiveness of operations, programs, or systems.
  • Assist program manager(s) with the development of integrated master schedules.
  • Assist program manager(s) with the tracking of metrics, preparing and presenting reports and recommendations.
  • Participate in strategy planning and associated organization working groups and review boards.
  • Assist clients in preparation of program risk and opportunity analysis, assessments, required metric tracking, and other scheduling or performance-related reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Provide defense acquisition relevant expertise to maintain and close-out assigned organization related tasking and/or contracts. Effectively communicate, in both oral and written form the tracking and monitoring of changes, deliverables, scope or resources changes, risks/opportunities, and maintain associated documentation.
  • Ensuring that all changes in programs and outcomes are well documented.
  • Reviews functional performance and qualification test plans and/or procedures. Verifies complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and requirements. Plans and conducts systems engineering, engineering analyses, trade studies, and feasibility assessments supporting systems engineering activities, including technical support for Analyses of Alternatives (AoA).
  • Implements quality control measures to ensure the continued success of programs. Develops quantitative feasibility analyses on possible solutions to increase system effectiveness and integrate new capabilities. Conduct technical investigations in systems design and provides technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of communication systems.

Impact:

  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated wit specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources.

Liaison:

  • Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
  • Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with projects.

Travel:

  • Less than 15%

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science in EE, ME, IE, Physics, Information Systems, or Information Technology.

Pay Range:$90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually, DOE

U.S. Citizenship is required

Security Clearance:

Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
