Description
The Regional Sales Manager will sell In-Place Machining Company Services in an assigned territory primarily to new or underserved markets in a host of industries including but not limited to commercial marine, DOD, power generation, mining, cement and general industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Establish mew accounts and expand existing business
Introduce and position In-Place Machining Company as the technical leader in Field Machining and Metrology services through the presentation of the company value proposition
Secure RFQ’s from existing and potential customers through on-site sales meetings and introductory presentations at the customer facility
Understand and communicate the needs of the customer to IPM technical team
Assist in the preparation and presentation of quotes and follow up proactively on those quotes with customers
Develop presentations and marketing materials for customers both internal and external
Resolve customer complaints
Keep management informed of industry trends and monitor competitor activities
Maintain and expand professional and technical knowledge
Keep accurate records
Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers
Regular and punctual attendance is required
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED, required
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Experience & Skills
Three to ten years of progressively responsible related experience. Specifically, this position requires:
Minimum of three years sales experience in field machining, metrology or similar field service offering
Shipyard, marine, hydro or turbine market experience
Excellent professional communication, organizational, follow-through, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, self-starter, with a personable and extroverted personality
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-faceted working environment
Aptitude for comprehending technical information
Flexibility and availability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels
Self directed and motivated, takes initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salesforce or HubSpot CRM experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where a wide variety of applications require individual solutions. Ability to interpret a mix of specifications and information furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Extensive ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Proficient ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Proficient ability to troubleshoot and solve problems using critical thinking skills

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. These include: forklift traffic, overhead cranes, machining, welding, moving of mechanical parts and moderate noise. The majority of the work is performed indoors in a shop and office environment. Will spend a minimal amount of time outdoors in hot, cold, or otherwise inclement weather during part of the workweek.
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license, preferred
Travel of up to 60% to customers within territory
