VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego is seeking a Surgical Pack Technician to join our incredible surgery team. If you consider yourself to be a highly organized, hardworking individual with strong attention to detail, this may be the position for you. Daily job duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in surgical preparation of patients

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize surgical instruments

• Wrap and sterilize surgical packs

• Correctly use autoclave

• Correctly use gas sterilizer

• Set up for orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries

• Submit lab samples

• Properly fill, spin and (possibly) read PCV tubes

• Stain slides

• Use and clean refractometer

• Run all laboratory diagnostic equipment

• Check in clients and obtain short history on patients

• Stock surgical suites

Salary: $23-25/hour
