Description

As part of our team, you'll provide essential IT support services, ensuring seamless operations for CNSP HQ and its subordinate commands. From desktop and peripheral support to Risk Management Framework implementation and telecommunications assistance, your contributions will directly impact naval operations and fleet readiness.

The Systems Administrator shall be responsible for tracking and administration of all Force shore-based equipment for CNSP (Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific) and claimants, with a focus on Information Technology (IT)/Local Area Network (LAN) assets and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)-owned printers. The incumbent will ensure that command assets meet cyber security and classification requirements, including storage, handling, inventory, disposal, and destruction processes. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for command assets, collect and manage data on CNSP assets, and provide technical assistance for inventory tracking.

Asset Storage and Disposal Documentation:

  • Complete required documentation for asset storage and disposal, including DD-1149, DD-1348, Letters of Transmittal, and Classified Material Conversion (CMC) forms.

  • Prepare devices for disposal via DRMO, base recycling, and NSA CMC requirements.

SOP Development:

  • Develop SOPs for command asset functions and processes.

Data Collection and Technical Assistance:

  • Collect data for CNSP assets for both afloat and ashore.

  • Provide technical assistance for inventory tracking, trouble ticket submittals, and coordination.

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and maintain inventory for command assets, peripherals, software, and other IT assets.

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inventories of CNSP and claimant computer assets.

Account Access Tracking and Support:

  • Develop and maintain a database to track SAAR forms for accounts created for CNSP staff.

  • Provide support for System Access and Authorization Request (SAAR) forms.

Local Registration Authority/SIPR Token Support:

  • Perform CAC/PKI Local Registration Authority services for CNSP staff.

  • Develop and maintain a database to track SIPRNET tokens.

ITPR Support:

  • Assist in the development and tracking of shipboard ITPRs.

  • Coordinate with external POCs for software and hardware integration statuses.

Risk Management Framework Support:

  • Perform RMF support in accordance with DoDI 8510.01.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a system’s cybersecurity solutions.

  • Identify system type and special considerations, support RMF Step 1 System Categorization, and perform security control implementation and testing efforts.

  • Mitigate and close open vulnerabilities under the system’s change control process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University.

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • IAT II or higher certification (CompTIA Security+ OR GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) OR Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP))

  • Also applicable: IAT III (Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
