Job Title: Cook

Job Description

As a Cook, your role will involve a range of tasks related to food preparation, ensuring that our guests are served with meals that meet the highest standards of quality and taste. You will be responsible for preparing food according to guidelines and recipes, engaging with guests at action stations. Your duties will also include understanding preparation methods, cooking times, and portion sizes, as well as evaluating food quality by tasting. You will also be expected to cut, trim, bone, and carve meats and poultry, ensuring correct portions. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils is a key part of your role, along with setting up and breaking down workstations. It will be important to identify food products and ensure high quality, as well as store food at appropriate temperatures, complete daily temperature logs, and follow all food safety standards. Using appropriate PPE, reporting injuries immediately, and understanding proper use and storage of chemicals are also key responsibilities. You will also be tasked with stocking the buffet, assisting with deliveries and inventory, following the FIFO method, and removing trash. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
