About the Role

In this role you’ll work across Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management teams to develop high-performance capabilities. You’ll envision step-change capabilities and work across leaders and business team employees to create a shared vision of success. You’ll work with key stakeholders to bring these capabilities to life by taking initiatives from inception to implementation. Transformation is responsible for improving the technology, analytics, process, and people dynamics to improve our ability to deliver business outcomes successfully.

What You'll Do

•Identify capability gaps in merch planning and inventory management at Old Navy and across Gap Inc. brands

•Work with stakeholders to define opportunity areas, build approaches and options to resolve, identify critical stakeholders

•Build appropriate working structures, proposed timelines, and project plans necessary to track and manage progress

•Foster cross-functional support to support initiative activities

•Develop process, technology, analytics, and people requirements to deliver vision

•Partner with technology, analytics, and project teams to build roadmap to deliver requirements

•Identify and build consensus around resolution to roadblocks that may emerge

•Lead implementation strategy and execution inclusive of supporting sustainability teams' involvement in solution

•Focus areas include assortment optimization, buy quantification, financial forecasting, pricing yield management, allocation

Who You Are

•Professional work experience, preferably with experience in retail consulting, retail business management, or related areas

•Demonstrated track record of driving improvement areas from inception to implementation

•Strength in written and oral communication with proven ability to connect with senior executives

•Understands cross-functional dynamics in retail organizations, technology teams, and data science teams

•Fluent in business management tactics employed by Merchandise planning, inventory management, price yield management, and assorting

•System thinker that can clearly articulate technical requirements between brand and technical teams

•Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem solver and strategic thinker with the ability to quickly identify key issues and develop hypotheses

•Able to translate complex ideas and dispersed information into simple, actionable recommendations

•Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to oversee and provide direction to more junior team members

•Strong business acumen related to consumer facing businesses and ability to assess impact of decisions on overall business performance

•Strong ability and willingness to collaborate effectively across functions and levels

Salary Range: $147,200 - $212,100 USD

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
