The Role:

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will spend most of your time in the labs, helping senior engineers. You need to be comfortable using test equipment, making test fixtures, and working with 0201 and fine pitch integrated circuits under microscopes. Having excellent soldering and desoldering skills is a requirement.

  • Set up and maintain lab test equipment.

  • Send lab equipment for repair/calibration on dates due

  • Debugging issues that arise with test equipment.

  • Characterize printed circuit board assemblies and products as instructed by the senior engineers.

  • Support rapid prototyping activities with evaluation modules and breadboarding

  • Assembling and reworking PCBAs

  • Modify test fixtures as needed

  • Develop scripts for test equipment (example: Python, Audio-Precision, Soundcheck)

  • Execute RF and electrical tests

  • Assist internal compliance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (example: ESD, RE).

  • Analyze test data and generating detailed and summary reports

  • Travel to other Logitech sites (mainly in the USA) when needed

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds regularly.

• Must be able to stand and walk in open air environments for prolonged periods.

• Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching are required to perform daily tasks

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Be a fast learner.

  • Have excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English.

  • Scripting skills to develop or modify test scripts is a plus.

  • Have basic understanding of the circuit theory and RF fundamentals

  • Be familiar with schematic tools (example: Orcad Capture) and be able to read schematics.

  • Be familiar with at least one PCB/Gerber viewing tool (OrCAD/Allegro is preferred)

  • Basic data and statistical analysis skills to provide test reports, failure analysis reports, characterization reports (derive trends from statistical data)

  • Be familiar with test equipment commonly used in electronics labs (such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Supplies, Function Generators)

  • Be able to work with minimum supervision.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field.

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a test engineer in the consumer electronics or mobile telecommunications industry.

  • Ability to travel domestically when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Having knowledge of Bluetooth, WiFi, USB standards is a plus.

This position offers an annual base salary typically between $ 92,900 - $ 131,200 depending on location and experience.

In certain circumstances, higher compensation will be considered based on the business need, candidate experience, and skills. * *
