Description

An international firm is seeking a Junior Attorney for their congenial San Jose office. This role offers mentorship from senior trial attorneys and the opportunity to gain substantive experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will possess 1 to 2 years of experience in professional negligence, product liability, or real estate-related litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee overall case management, including drafting motions and handling discovery requests

• Conduct depositions and participate in court proceedings

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients

• Actively market the firm to new and potential clients through frequent and direct contact

• Have the ability to travel as this position may present opportunities for travel

Requirements

• Must have a professional degree in law from a recognized institution

• Must be a licensed attorney with the ability to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

• Proven experience in civil litigation is required

• Ability to draft motions and other legal documents with precision and accuracy

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Must adhere to professional ethics and have a high level of integrity

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively in a team

• Must keep up-to-date with changes in law and new developments in the legal industry.
