The Trade Acceleration Group (TAG) is the engine of Intel's International Trade Group (ITG), providing the infrastructure, data, and operations to execute Intel's trade compliance checks with maximum efficiency. As a member of this group, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing and managing global export trade compliance solutions integrating regulatory requirements, to keep Intel's business running. They will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate compliance review and disposition of cross-border requests as well leveraging automation and data analytics to drive new opportunities, trends, and improvements to existing controls of designated tasks. We are seeking a talented candidate for this role who demonstrates the relevant trade and technical experience to help build an excellent future for trade at Intel.

Responsibilities:

The scope of work includes but is not limited to:

Execute, oversee and coordinate daily operation of US export daily operation tasks to ensure smooth cross-border activities.

Determine Export Classification Control Number and Export License requirements for international shipments.

Serve as the primary point of contact for Intel's Export Compliance and Sanctions (ECS) team, coordinating efforts to ensure immediate compliance with US export regulatory updates.

Manage and update the Americas SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) Licensing Logic, ensuring that system licenses are adjusted in timely manner in response to regulatory updates.

Primary POC for the Americas Export Integrated Shipping Memo, providing Level 2 support for export blocks as well as engaging with shipment originators and the logistics team for troubleshooting and resolving specific compliance exceptions and issues.

Manage and leverage tools capabilities to optimize execution excellence. Identifies potential process improvement opportunities and collaborates with IT to implement system solutions/enhancements.

Implement and improve export compliance standard operating procedures.

Conduct regular training sessions for relevant teams to ensure understanding and adherence to updated export regulations and systems.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, sales, logistics, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive compliance strategies.

Identify and communicate to concerned parties the execution gaps, challenges, risks, trends, and opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, Economics, Supply Chain management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge in trade compliance, with a focus on U.S. export regulations.

  • Strong understanding of export control classifications (ECCN), licensing requirements, and trade facilitation.

  • Proven ability to manage projects, drive system changes and tackle executional challenges.

  • Willing to work across organizational barriers to remove roadblocks.

  • Advanced English level

  • Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge in SAP GTS system.

  • Working knowledge in restricted/sanctioned party screening and import trade compliance controls, i.e., HS classification, valuation, etc.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
