They also take them on the path through their career with trainings, development bootcamps, and engagement activities.As the Director, Culture & Talent Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping and managing our employee services, benefits, payroll, policy development, compensation strategy, wellness, and labor relations. Your role will extend beyond traditional HR functions, positioning yourself as a strategist as Abarca reaches new heights. With a strong executive presence and transformational leadership skills, you will foster a robust workforce culture and brand by building strong relationships with leaders and employees across Abarca.The fundamentals for the job…Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, influencing organizational culture, and fostering leadership development through executive coaching and mentorship.Develop and implement employee services (i.e., relations, benefits) strategies, policies, and programs that align with Abarca's goals and values.Lead change management initiatives to support organizational transformations and promote a culture of continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to managers and Talent Business Partners on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Oversee the definition and execution of plans with different areas to address employee engagement, values adoption, environment, and organizational culture.Develop and implement employee benefits strategies and programs that support the organization's overall compensation and benefits philosophy and business objectives.Develop and implement competitive compensation programs to support organizational goals and ensure equitable pay. Evaluate market trends to adjust compensation structures for attracting and retaining top talent.Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.Analyze data and key metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and make recommendations for enhancements or cost-saving opportunities.Lead the annual benefits renewal process, including negotiating with vendors, evaluating plan options, and making recommendations to senior management.Stay informed about changes in regulations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.Partner with legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and mitigate legal risks.Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and legal teams, as well as external vendors and consultants, to ensure the effective delivery of benefits programs and services.Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, trust, and respect among employees at all levels of the organization.Develop and deliver communication and training programs on topics related to employee services (i.e., benefits, compliance, employee relations).What you’re made ofThe bold requirements…Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related area. (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.)10+ years’ experience in Change Management, HR Consulting, Transformation Leader, or a closely related field.3+ Experience in developing and leading Executive Coaching.5+ years’ experience in mentoring, coaching, developing and supervising teams.Experience interpreting and implementing requirements of Puerto Rico and US labor laws.Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a team of professionals.We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site workdays (Puerto Rico Location Only). Strongly PreferredExperience with financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis, with relevant qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.Experience in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), Lean Sigma practices, and Agile methodologies.
