D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a_Purchasing Agent_for their Purchasing Department. The right candidate will bid on new projects, maintain scopes of work, track blueprints and design changes, etc. The annual compensation for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, including a discretionary bonus structure, commensurate with experience. This position is on site, Monday through Friday, in the San Ramon office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Preliminary budget estimating. * Achieve cost transparency * Bid proposal qualification and negotiation * Pre-qualify subcontractors * Maintain and update current budgets * Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases * Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review * Ability to map supply chain and demonstrate product knowledge
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Homebuilding or construction industry experience strongly preferred.
