Job Description:

We are looking for a licensed teacher with an ESL endorsement.
This position is for an hourly ESL adult teaching position 6 hours per week
Applicants should complete a Vidcruiter profile, then must email mark.mataya@canyonsdistrict.org.
Applicant needs to be able to be an agile instructor as the classes will have students of multiple levels of ability.
Classes are Monday through Thursday 10:30 am to 12:00 pm teaching adult MLL students. The ESL class is held through most of the school year, but with all district days off.
Preferred Skills:
We are looking for a licensed teacher with an ESL endorsement.
- Expired licenses, out of state licenses, or University students that will graduate in May or August 2022 are also eligible to apply.

To earn your license through the CSD Alternative Pathway to Professional Eudcator Licensing (APPEL) program (https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/hr/appel/) , you will first apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL). Follow this link (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CrAT4LtTVGoYMhf33KER6ebdWJxPlVvfcLlQPHu4MXQ/edit) for information on how to apply for an AEL through the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
Proof of an AEL or proof you submitted all the documentation correctly to USBE is required before you will be added to the candidate pool.
Must also have the proper endorsements for what you are applying for (example: English teachers will not be considered for anything other then English jobs).
