Position Role Type:

Seasoned Project Engineering professional working independently. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Applies scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.

This position will sit at our Santa Isabel, PR location, candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate well to other members of the new product/transition team.

  • Identify and clearly document issues for resolution.

  • Provide support and leadership to new product introduction or transitions while engaging other functional team members to meet project milestone

  • Maintain and promote high communication level between Puerto Rico manufacturing facilities and the Program office.

  • Manage multi-disciplinary Project Plan with resources on-site and at the Business Unit level

  • Create and Justify Capital Equipment Acquisitions.

  • Generate & Support Financial Business Case.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, including word and excel

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Engineering, preferred

  • Green or Black Belt Six Sigma Certification preferred

  • 1+ years of prior experience working with New Product Introduction Programs

  • Mechanical background with proven records of understanding Geometric Dimension & Tolerance concepts is preferred.

  • Experience leading root cause analysis events driving to effective corrective actions

  • Knowledge in NX CAD tools is a plus.

  • Planning skills and ability to execute plans in dynamic and rapidly changing circumstances.

  • Familiarity with test, integration, and validation techniques
