We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with experience in NetSuite to join our finance team. This position offers the opportunity to transition from a temporary role to a permanent one based on performance.

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NetSuite and a strong background in accounting within the media industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Utilize NetSuite to maintain and update financial records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic planning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial decision-making.

• Assist in the preparation of tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.

• Proficiency in NetSuite is required.

• Experience in the media industry is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
