American Grain, LLC Ag. Equipment Operator in Sauk Centre, Minnesota
Need 3 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Sauk Centre, MN., and in Meeker and Lyon Counties. From: 09/06/2024 - 12/15/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 10/27/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Drive and operate harvesting machines or custom cutting machinery to harvest a variety of grain and oil-seed crops from clients farms. Adjust speeds of cutters, blowers and conveyors, and weight of cutting head, using hand tools. Change cutting head as appropriate for crop. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farmworkers. Service machinery and make incidental in-field repairs. General service to equipment like regular oil checks, and making sure equipment is safe to operate. All work related tools, equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employer's expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
