Nestle Processing Operator in Savannah, Georgia

Processing Operator

The Processing Operator is responsible for the operation of advanced thermal processing equipment, such as tubular and plate heat exchangers. This position reports to the Production Supervisor. In the absence of the Processing Operator, another Processing Operator will serve as backup.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Schedule: 2/2/3 12 HR shift, Day, and Night with opportunities for overtime

  • Starting hourly pay of $22 (not including a $3 shift differential for night shift) based on knowledge and demonstrated skill.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Documentation of all processing parameters, product transfers, tank inventories, system events, cleaning chemical concentrations, critical control points, etc. on the appropriate charts and forms.

  • Receiving and unloading of tankers of bulk liquid ingredients, performance of associated tests, and documentation of necessary information.

  • Operation of material handling equipment (Pallet Jack, Drum Dolly, etc.) as needed.

  • Documentation of all pertinent material information (lot #’s, quantities, locations, etc.) on the appropriate forms.

  • Troubleshooting of Processing and CIP systems.

  • Preventative Maintenance of Processing and CIP systems.

  • General support of plant production and quality assigned by plant leadership.

  • Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents/accidents and understand and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and Procedures.

  • Support for the SQF 2000 System.

  • Trained in the Nestle Health Science HACCP program in order to identify critical steps and their instructions critical to effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan,

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.

  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to lift, kneel, bend over, squat, stoop and carry 50 lbs.

  • Have moderate computer, math, and mechanical skills. (will operate HMI, Microsoft Office, etc.)

  • Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency.
