Experienced Engineer - 40nm Product Owner (PO)

The Platform Product Owner (PO) is in charge for one or more products of a Fab1 volume customer which can be either in Development (pre M6) or in Production (M6, M7). He/she takes ownership and responsibility for any product-specific issues / topics including inline, defect, yield & reliability data.

He/She is the first point of contact for the operational team (Process Modules, Line control, Supply Chain, QA) to drive and finally resolve systematical issues or clarify excursion events. He/She works closely with the Platform Program Manager and the Lead Integrator and ensures that all platform-relevant (not product-specific) issues/topics are considered and best-known methods (BKMs) are implemented for the respective products in charge.

To fulfill these tasks the person in charge must bring in both, technical and project management skills. It requires a solid understanding of the Technology Integration scheme (POR) and the ability to identify issues and coordinate relevant actions to manage daily topics and tasks effectively in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment.

Tasks:

  • Take ownership for one or more products of a Fab1 customer

  • Be the first contact for product specific topics/issues for manufacturing (operational) teams

  • Perform weekly trend review of inline and defect data to verify product stability (Create HOL report)

  • Prepare regular cpk reports and check/inform about CIP’s if needed

  • Be owner of / first contact for product-specific needs in case of MRBs

  • Check, if line-holds are needed or can be released in close cooperation with Lead Integrator

  • Support the PLCM (Product Life Cycle Management) team during the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to ensure in-time and high-quality PROTO delivery

  • Verify completeness of inline (PCP - Process Control Plan) and electrical (ETCP – Electrical Test Control plan) control plans for products in charge of

  • Prepare route upgrades as PCRB (Process Change Request Board) owner in the RTR (Ready to Ramp) / RTP (Ready to Production) business process

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or other technical discipline

  • Several years of experience in technical roles within the semiconductor industry including at least 3 years of experience in technology integration and/or silicon manufacturing

  • Solid understanding of the Technology Integration scheme (POR) including knowledge of interactions between inline (CD, thickness, ...) and electrical (wafer electrical test) parameters and Sort yield for logic, SRAM, NVM devices (process windows, Yield roll-off behavior)

  • Self-motivated personality, ability to work independently

  • Ability to identify the need for action, to initiate and coordinate activities, to initiate / lead and follow-up meetings with participants from different Fab departments, in particular operational teams

  • Well-structured working style and conclusive presentation skills
