Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Data Engineer in our Employee Benefits department. As a member of the financial analytic team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering reporting and analysis to a subset of HUB clients as determined by the department manager. The focus of the position is to provide analytics, financial analysis, and return on investment solutions, primarily for self-funded clients.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with financial analysts, underwriters, and IT teams to identify opportunities for process automation.

• Design, develop, and implement automated workflows for data extraction, analysis, and report generation.

• Work closely with Excel files and other data sources to extract relevant information.

• Create custom scripts or utilize existing tools to automate repetitive tasks.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the automation process.

• Monitor and maintain automated workflows, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.

• Provide training and support to end-users on new automated processes.

• Build and optimize reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization tools.

• Develop and maintain ETL processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.

• Implement data warehousing solutions and understand the principles of data integration and storage.

• Generate accurate and timely reports based on the processed data.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

What you offer us:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in process automation, preferably within the insurance industry.

• Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and other automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, or Python).

• Strong understanding of medical/pharmacy underwriting principles.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, well organized with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment

• Experience with cloud data services, reporting, data extraction and infrastructure is a plus.
