DESCRIPTION OF WORK Responsibilities of this position will include the following: Processes, documents and forwards all physical mail and email as appropriate, including certified and COOP mail. Reviews incoming documents for legibility; requests corrected documents when illegible documents are received. Receives various correspondence, completes verification and forwards to appropriate party within the Record Management Unit (RMU). Maintain electronic and paper files: Copy and record electronic files on appropriate computer systems. Locate and retrieve paper files as requested from Office of Chief Counsel. Purge closed files, pack documents and ship to Harrisburg for storage. Copy and record files on PowerComp system. Accepts, documents and forwards checks. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
