We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. The Sr. Accountant will play a critical role in our team, focusing on revenue accounting, reporting, and mentoring staff. The successful candidate will leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Revenue Accounting for both B2C and B2B sectors

• Ensure proper checks and balances are in place for reporting accuracy and completeness

• Produce clear reconciliations on Revenue, Lifetime Receipts (LTRs) to GL/Bank Cash, A/R and Deferred Revenue

• Facilitate monthly revenue recognition reviews

• Support systematic solutions for revenue recognition reporting

• Coach and mentor staff, ensuring proper cross-training for back up needs

• Handle foreign exchange translation accounting

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for all entities and consolidations

• Use Microsoft Excel and financial accounting systems (JDE) proficiently to perform tasks effectively

• Be prepared to work overtime on an as-needed basis, especially during month-end closing and year-end audits.

Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or relevant accounting experience

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is essential

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures

• Experience in using NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for accounting and financial management

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Must have legal right to work in the United States.
