Insight Global Change Manager in Seatac, Washington

Job Description

* Work summary

o Change Manager & Process Designer supporting one or more projects; this is an active 'doer' role

o In some cases will be dedicated to a large project full-time, and in others will support a small number of medium sized projects

o Pull together disparate pieces of a project into a cohesive process and change approach

o Lead process evaluations and workshops, create documentation such as current and future state process maps, recommend process options with pros/cons, lead the team to make process decisions, and segue process outcomes into change management

o Follow the Alaska change management methodology and produce standard change management deliverables such as change-related assessments, plans, and report-outs, design multiple ways to engage with audiences, and ensure solid feedback loops and metrics to gauge efficacy

o Create communication and/or learning materials of moderate complexity for internal use

o Work in partnership with project manager, sponsor, business owners, subject matter experts, project team members, and external vendors

o Collaborate closely with internal Communications, Guest Experience, Policy & Procedure, and Training teams

o Hybrid remote and on-site in SeaTac, WA; in the office for in-person work typically 3 days per week

o Will regularly keep leadership, sponsors, and PM's apprised of progress, roadblocks, help needed, etc.

Skills and Requirements

* Skills and requirements

o Minimum 5 years' experience leading change in a full-time role as a Change Manager and 5 years leading process design/improvement work

o Excellent demonstrated skills in all facets of change management including assessment, planning, design, execution, sustainment, and nurturing influencers to lead change within their organizations

o Excellent demonstrated skills in process identification, improvement, documentation, and design/redesign

o Strong skills in delivering learning via in-person and virtual formats

o Advanced skills in absorbing new information and specialized jargon, identifying connections between disconnected elements

o Able to use Alaska's change management framework and standards, while also using sound judgment to meet the needs of the project

o Able to balance competing priorities and help the team to do the same

o Able to build strong relationships and partner to get work done

o Able to work successfully with people at all levels of the company and work on a team with union-represented employees, non-union employees, other contractors, and outside vendors

o Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to proactively lead themselves and the team to concrete decisions and actions

o Able to create change management- and/or process-related materials of moderate complexity with professional polish suitable for internal use, utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other standard software tools

o Experience with basic functions in Smartsheet or willingness to learn

o Note: A process or change management certification is not required, nor is expertise in a particular methodology * Preferences

o Minimum of 5 years recent experience with corporations (as opposed to non-profit, NGO, government, or academia)

o Experience with aviation or the travel industry

o Experience working with labor relations, employees who are union-represented, or union reps

o Experience with complex, multi-phase transformations

o Experience introducing change management to an organization

o Expert skills in leading stakeholders with competing interests to alignment and collaborative action

o Process experience including assessment, analysis, mapping, design, redesign, and teaching business owners and SMEs how to truly see their process (and waste) null
