Aerotek Drill Press Operator in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Drill Press Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a drill press operator! In this role, you will be manufacturing hydraulic cylinders in a loud, industrial machine shop environment. You will either be assigned to the large or small press, both of which will involve hands-on work and the potential to get dirty and oily. We provide coveralls, but be prepared for a challenging and rewarding work experience. This role is perfect for those with hands-on experience such as backyard mechanics, assembly, or entry-level machine operation. It's a physically demanding role where you'll need to be on your feet and lift up to 50lbs. The role requires honesty, patience, the ability to learn quickly, and a commitment to being on time. Note-taking is essential as the learning process can be long and detailed. Cell phone usage is not permitted during work hours. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Seattle, Washington.

Work Environment

Our Seattle-based shop specializes in NFPA and custom cylinders used for marine, logging, and mining industries. The environment is loud and very industrial. We use manual machines and there is no break room available. Despite these challenges, it's a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a small team and learn a trade. We have CNC machines, welding, and much more. Please note this work environment is not for everyone, but for the right person, it's a great opportunity.
