Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in medical insurance verification? Do you thrive in a non-patient-facing role that plays a critical part in the healthcare revenue cycle? Join us in Tukwila, WA, as an Insurance Verification Specialist. In this vital position, you will use your expertise in medical terminology and insurance processes to ensure accurate and timely verification of insurance benefits for a variety of therapies.. WE NEED YOU!

salary: $26 - $26.75 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for all new referrals

• Enter new patient and physician data into the software database, enter ICD-9/ICD-10 codes as needed.

• Conduct monthly verification of DSHS coverage for long-term Medicaid patients and weekly verification for capitated Hospice patients

• Obtain and follow up on Primary Care Physician (PCP) referral requests

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office handling insurance verification/authorizations

• Reimbursement experience and knowledge of insurance benefit verification
