We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Environmental Scientist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Seattle, WA or Portland, OR office. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately manage projects in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with challenging projects.
  • Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
  • Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in Washington and Oregon.
  • Be capable of fully managing financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client and regulatory deliverables.
  • Be effective in assigning and managing work.
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to junior level staff.
  • Possess skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Direct environmental field observation and testing programs.
  • Be able to effectively manage various remediation projects.
  • Develop a working understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science (Master's degree preferred) in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest with: environmental regulations, environmental investigations and site characterization, remediation technologies, operation and maintenance, and construction.
  • Have professional registration PE/RG -- or can get it within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient at writing, reviewing, and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
  • Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.
